We had one of these at K&K music in sacramento in the early 90's they are actually functional, not just a curiosity piece.

Man! I haven't heard that name in 30+ years. Were those sold with Octaplus kits? I remember seeing them in one of the catalogs. Cool!

Back in the 70s I used to gig with the inventor, Richie Zalmer, in the Hartford Ct. area. Rich made them in his basement pretty much by himself. I think he may have had a son-in-law that gave him some help. In some sense they got too popular and he just couldn't keep up with the orders. If my memory serves me right, when I was working with him, in 78-79, he was on back order for almost a year. Rich was getting up there in years at the time and I think he just gave it up. It got too much for him.
