Wtb: Ludwig Standard 16" Floor Tom Last viewed: 34 minutes ago

Hi, there!

My first post and I'm already *****in' about something! LoLoLoLo

Like my nick says, I'm not the drummer on my band, but more like a collector of stuff.

I recently aquired a Ludwig Standard set for peanuts, and I liked it so much, that I'm willing to restore it and use it on a "normal" basis.

Thing is, it's missing the floor tom.

Now, I know that it would be a long shot to expect and find the piece with the very same finish (a blue, psychedelic wave that changes with light - sorry for my richness in ignorance), but any Ludwig Standard piece will do, since I'm planning to change the wraps anyway.

Hope any of you fine people can help.

I'm located in M?xico, but I have a shipping addy in AZ. The transaction should be made through ebay and PayPal, so both parties are properly covered.

I'm willing to pay up to $60 plus shipping for the piece.

My email: [email protected]

Cheers, people!

It's sounds like you are describing a Blue Satin Flame. I believe you can find a kit like this on Ebay right now. Odd finish for Ludwigs, I didnt know they made anything in this wrap...

Thanx for the heads up!

Yes, that's the finish. Mine looks a little dimmer, tho.

Thing is, I only need the 16" FT, and this guy won't let it go! LOL

As stated, I wouldn't mind if it comes in raw wood, since I'm planning on re-wrapping the kit.

Many thanx for your reply.

Cheers!

It's too late to tell you this now, but you just should have bought the whole kit on ebay and sold your individual drums separately. I'd guess you're looking at spending $200 easily on a single floor tom and new wrap. Do you need to re-wrap, or want to re-wrap? If you don't need to, you're almost always much better off to sell the original pieces without modification and buy a kit that is already modified.

I just re-read your post - you might find one for $60, but it's going to take luck...

It's amazing - I can't even imagine a Ludwig Classic set selling in open auction for $300. The drums in the ebay auction are the same shells!
