No way to tell. The kit looks in very good condition from a distance. Hardware looks good. It's going to depend on those cymbals. That looks like a swing band/show drummers kit. It those are really nice K's or something like that, you may want to start the boot licking process to fund it. That would be a sweeeeeeeet kit.
Over priced, unless those cymbals are rare...
is there a wide range of prices from model to model , and year to year within the 60s? in other words, is one particular year or model more sought-after?
Not really...it's the cymbals that are the major question.
Set-o-matic rack system, probably '70's. can be either 3 or 5-ply shells.
I agree, too much $$$$ unless the cymbals are a nice old set of '60's A's or Italians, something like that.
The 4 pc in stellar shape, maybe $750...the snare, tops $150...hardware, tops $150 (if there's a 'hat stand included)....
So we are only at, what ?....$1050.
So again, about $300 for those cymbals...reasonable if they are good, but unreasonable if not.
...then again, if the "asking" price is $1350...would he take $1200...? etc, etc. Might be something worth conversating about....;)
