I got a black 7 pc. Slingerland Country Road kit with Zildjians, fiber cases and hardware for $75 at a garage sale last summer. That was fun! As the girl was showing me the drums in the basement, she said, "Now one of these is in bad shape. Oh, here it is." It was a split bass drum head. When I got the drums home, at the bottom of the case was an almost new white coated Slingerland logo head.

Non-drum related, I got a Wurlitzer elctric piano at a garage sale for $20. I collect old keyboards and that was a real nice find.

I bought a Cleveland era Blue Glass Glitter Rogers Powertone Snare with beavertails last week off craigslist for $100. It's dirty, but otherwise is really nice and sounds, well, like a Cleveland era Powertone! When I get it cleaned up I'll post pics.

the bass player of the band i was with at the time bet me 20 buck's to smoke some of that fine vintage extra dry herb . after a couple of draws from that bad boy i must have turned three shades of white and wished for death lol but i still got the twenty from him . and i was more than happy to flush the rest down the Toilet

The only stuff i buy is stuff i can get for a deal.. havent gotten any insane deals, but some pretty good ones. I recently picked up a b/o supra off craigslist for 100 bucks(i put up an ad asking for an acrolite for 100, and a guy said he had the lm-400..). i snagged a firewood drum kit for $50 a couple months ago, but it came with a PILE of heavy duty hardware, some roto-toms, and a 70's-80's speedking.. i ended up making a couple hundred bucks off it through reselling AND kept most of the cymbal stands! I got another "pile" deal from craigslist of a bunch of old 60's-70's ludwig flat-base cymbal stands, a kinda broken 80's ludwig cymbal stand and a bunch of other crap for $30.. I ended up making a bunch of money off it, but I wish i'd put the flat-bases on ebay instead of craigslist, cause i saw one go for like $65 AFTER i already sold mine for 20 each:mad: I figured as long as i was making a profit.. i wish i had done more research on that one. Last one, a '79 ludwig black cortex 13" tom w/ cast rims and absolutely PERFECT condition for $10. I cant believe how immaculate this drum is! there are only a couple spots on the rims, but the rest is amazing.

I got one, although it is only half mine.

I went drum shopping for my brother in law (he is learning) and

bought him this from the paper. It did not come with the snare (He bought the gretsch

seperately) but was ready to play. early 90's Pearl Session Series Birch kit.

The drums cost a grand sum of $50AUS. The snare cost $350 lol.

peace!

I bought these 67 Ludwigs in 1977 for $100. They had been in a closet for 10 years. I also bought the white Gibson SG he had in there too, also $100. I still have the drums, unfortunately I sold the SG. OOPS.
