Vintage Slingerland Bass drum Last viewed: 5 hours ago

HI I'm new here. I have a very old Slingerland Bass drum. So old that the lugs (if thats what there called) that mount on the drum are made out of wood not metal like every other drum I have ever seen , any help?

Difficult without a picture but wooden lugs sounds like WWII period when there were restrictions on use of metal for non-essential products.
