Anyone have any guesses as to what brand/stencil this snare is?

I have a Tempro snare that looks just like that one... the throwoff lever is slightly different, but other than that, they look the same ... paid $50 plus shipping on ebay a couple of weeks ago ( without case or stand )

Ringy and tinny, but another member had a thread on adjusting the bearing edge and working on the interior of the shell to improve the tone... it's called "Japanese snares" by Jaye in the Restoring Vintage Drums Forum.... hopefully I can apply some of that knowledge
