This snare belongs to a guitar player friend of mine, aargh!

He's been gracious enough to let me check it out & play it for the last month or so. I've been dying to put some new skins and wires on it, the skins on now are modern-but beat, but he asked me not to, so I wo'nt.

Flipping through the Ludwig Book, I think it may a Deluxe from '32-'34, or maybe earlier, '29? Six leaf/ four petal, 338 strainer, or a profesional missing the lever.

He's not looking to sell, but if I offered to purchase, what would be a fair price?

I'm sure Mr Curotto will be able to give you a realistic price. In my opinion, at least $3500.

Swap him the Tele for the BB. Um... actually, I take that back - The Tele is worth WAY more than the BB. Tell him it's a fake and offer to take it off his hands for $200.00 :)

I just sold the same model 3 weeks ago to a friend in cleaner condition with case ..I sold it for 4,500.00 going by that i would say 3,500.00+ in the condition it's in..Mikey
