I've only owned four sets recently, but had I passed on any of them, I'd have gotten that "regret factor" you mentioned earlier. The set will appreciate as time goes by, plus You get to play it. I'll sell some stuff and buy it if you don't want it. This one's worth a cross-country drive to pick up if needed!

I don't understand how you can dive to pick it up. You will be paying for it in gas money.

Look at like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow......

The anticipation of having to drive home to play them would be the only bad part, although I could stop at some roadside park for a session....

Perhaps not a prudent plan financially, but, sitting at home counting a little gas money I saved, as opposed to going on an adventure to reflect on for years to come......... Hey, man, I already know how to count money, and it never made me as happy as an adventure.

Drummers think alike...I am feeling that groove. (bad pun) I haven't pulled the trigger. I just can't envision spending this kind of money in a bad economy. But I keep staring at the pictures of the set. I think I will make an offer on Tuesday.

There you go. I think you can rest assured that $1300 is a fair, not a steal, price, so anything less than that should make you sleep a little easier. I know what you're saying about being hard to pull the trigger in this economy. I keep seeing things going for more seller's market prices and I have to resist, even though it's killing me at times. I need to stop looking and torturing myself. LOL
