I'm not sure what made you think they would fit the hoops are not larger ....the collar is just wider
The video on the Official Evans Youtube channel states they should fit on vintage drums that are known to be slightly over sized.

Remo will make a custom head for you but 4 weeks is a dream. Last time I ordered heads for my vintage Premier kit, (catalogue items, though not common), was a little over 7 months from my order date to delivery. Any non stock heads are made in short runs once every 6 months. That is straight from a Remo reps mouth.

I put AQ Vintage heads on my rewrapped RB kit.
They sound good.
They fit just fine but I'm with you guys on the color.
It's not that big of a deal I guess but I did want normal looking white heads.
I wonder why the designers at AQ think that vintage guys would only like old yellowed heads?
They are supposed to look like calf skin but people were using Coated Ambassadors in the 60's I'm sure.
Come on AQ.
Get with the program.
