....awe man....Craig...now I gotta go behind all the others...that is a SWEEEEEET looking set of tubbies. That wrap is ALMOST identical to Ludwig Standards' Red....whatever they called it...too lazy to look it up. Man, that turned out REALLY nice. So SoCal is the place to look for old MIJ stuff....huh....? Youse guys find far too much for my likin'....! No, I am not a Chicago-lander, just like the sound of it...cappiche'?

Thanks Jonni, It did clean up nice. And youse just need to keep looking! And, it's not SoCal, it's MidCal, near Fresno (attached to really).
I think the Ludwig Standard name was Ruby Strata, but I could very well be wrong...
Oh yeah, kept meaning to tell you. I used to hear a lot about Norman when I was a kid. My dad grew up in Chickasha. Moved to California during the war to work on Liberty Ships, and got drafted. Been there once in the early sixties. I was amazed by the fireflys.
Nice work!
Man they are sitting low too... reminds me of an old song by WAR...
Yow, those are tight.
Are the rack toms the same size or am I just seeing wrong??
The top and bottom lugs are too far apart on the other one,...That`s one way to tell !!

Great job, outrageous wrap, that kit has a serious vibe to it.Those are also my favorite pearl lugs.I had a mid sixties Pearl in blue sky pearl, the chrome had not aged that well but I got the nicotine and various spooge off with windex and buffed them out with auto polishing compound and the wrap came back almost as good as yours, always got compliments on the way the kit looked.Enjoy them.
