Heading to the panhandle for a little cheap R&R... side trip up to Tallahassee wouldn't be out of the question if any one knows of some spots worth hitting.

Dalton, Georgia on a Sprint broadband card. I have never used a mobile broadband wireless network... very cool. Wife drives.. I browse the forum.

You have long since returned, but I moved back to NC in '04 after fifteen years on the panhandle. Did your visit take you to Fort Walton Beach, or Destin?

Back in 1985-86, I used to hit Destin, Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City on weekends when I was stationed at Ft. Rucker in southern Alabama.
Older and wiser... now we stay in a little calmer area on the panhandle on a little hook of land called Alligator Point,,, due south of Tallahassee around the Panacea, Sopchoppy area. If you see ten people on the beach, it's a busy day.
The panhandle as got it all... :)
