At least he doesn't know what he is doing. I mean, most people that do this know exactly what they are worth, this is just some antiquer that found some dirty old drums. Still, this is sickening.

I really don't think the guy knows they are so rare.

How do you know he has the whole set? I see he has a bunch of old 20s and 30s drum stuff, but none of it goes with that snare, maybe I'm missing something. If he has it and is waiting until the snare sells to list it that is even worse in my opinion.

I'm sorry but I don't see the sacrilege in breaking up a mismatched kit. Hes got a horribly warped Ludwig bass, a bunch of random Luddy and Leedy accessories and a few random cymbals, none of which is very rare at all other than that nice painted BD head. There's a very good chance that someone looking for a Fancher doesn't want any of that stuff. Regardless of the era, none of this is a matched kit, I would have listed it exactly the same.

I think what VM2K is on about ... not every drumkit in history was built around snare bass tom floor config. Those old cymbals and doodads were a MAJOR part of that kit. It's all in pieces now. That should disturb any lover of fine drums.
