I personally think he is trying to take someone. Slingerland was innovative but not that much.

Why would you need a clip mount AND a bottom screw hole receiver? Doesn't make sense. The clip mount is not what I would call "professionally" located on that drum. It's off balance. I can't say if it's authentic, but I can say it was not professionally engineered. That much is obvious.

That thing is a bad dream.

Please make it go away!

It's not so bad....you could use it as a funnel or even a pot of sorts to cook something over an open fire. How about and oil change drip pan? Lot's of good uses I'm sure.

Possible final proof of the rumored brief partnership of H.H. and Ron Popeil?

It drains, it strains, keeps perfect rhythm, dishwasher-safe......

Equally as useful in the kitchen as it is in the recording studio...........

They did make those "tympani toms"...the wood shell toms with the metal orb bottom in place of a head. BUT...this thing looks all wrong to me....

I've seen these before actually. They usually come in pairs. I never played them, but I think they were a short run of timbales or something.

For what it's worth, this IS a Slingerland product. Someone should pull out some old catalogs and check out the bizarre drum section. This seller isn't trying to pass something off as Slingerland that isn't - but yes, it's a weird product.

I respect that, but it's more comfortable to imagine he's trying to take someone. That thing is just too strange to attribute it to a Great American Drum Company.

I must confess I haven't been sleeping well at all - I've been having nightmares about that damn thing.

I kept on thinking, what could possibly be worse than one of those things?

Then I read this:

From jeremybranson

I've seen these before actually. They usually come in pairs.

Now I know - two.
