slingy 50's bass drum Last viewed: 29 minutes ago

Loading...

i have been posting alot of threads on this drum and i have got alot of good info from everyone. on what i should do with it and what year my bass is. now i would like to know what you guys would pay for this bass drum. i am considering selling it......what is it worth?

mid fifty's bass i have two hoops (i dont think they are original) and some of the lugs and thats about it.

it used to belong to a guy who messed up the original gold sparkle wrap, and so he took it off and put a finnish on it. in the proccess of his work he lost alot of the hardwear along with the badge. here are some pics and let me know what you think. dont be shy, let me have it you wont hurt my feelings.

Original lugs (are they nickel ?), original cymbal mount, probably original consolette mount. Definitely not original spurs, so 2 extra holes there which are placed nowhere near a set of Slingy spurs would be.....

Almost no claws, no rods. Badge gone, too.

Seriously...about $100 IMHO Looks to be in decent enuff shape, though....good rewrap candidate.

Funny...never seen the straight telescoping legs on an old Slingy before...the angled ones and the old-school floor-tom type spring loaded ones, yes.

I would buy it from you for $100....I have some old Slingy tom shells I can combine this with.

Can you figure out what shipping would be to SF, CA 94122 ? Would likely need a 24x24x18 or so box to ship. UPS, US Postal, FedEx, makes no difference to me. Lemme know.

Do you think the lugs are nickel ???? I ask because I have a sh#tload of Slingy nickel lugs around here I am dying to use for something....

Jaye--Kevin was in discussion about these spurs on another thread a couple of days ago, they are the real deal. Mikey even told him where to find them in a cat, I think. So, they are right, if there are no extra holes.
