Hey guys, I have a question regarding COB and COS Slingerland Sticksaver hoops for a Slingerland wood shell Snare drum. The hoops that originally came with my snare were the COS sticksaver hoops. Would replacing those COS hoops with COB sticksaver hoops project the Snare more-volume wise, than using the COS hoops that my Snare came with? Any info would be great. Thanks. I have found that they may exhibit a higher pitch versus the steel. They were used originally because brass was cheap & easy to mold and it gives a bit under pressure, i.e., tension rod.
