Hi folks,

I'm looking for some help in identifying a Slingerland snare, serial number 349944. All I have are a couple photos. The owner says it's chrome. But it looks like it could be aluminum or some other metal. I'm hoping somebody more knowledgable than me on these matters can help I.D. this drum.

I have an old Slingerland snare that I have had for years and have no idea where I had gotten it from. It could be that it came with my first drum, Dixie, back in 1977. The serial no. 434626 was mft. in Niles, Illinois. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some insight regarding this drum. Thanks!
