I think that this is asking a little too much but I am wondering what I would expect to pay for one of these? I like the fact that it has 16 lugs plus it is mahogany. I'm shooting for a 15" but if the price was right I would consider a 14"...the eagle with the wood hoops just looks so appealing to me for some reason, haha.

If that strainer were complete it sure would be an easier pill to swallow.

It may not sell at that price, and I have had some good luck contacting sellers just after a failed auction, and offering a more reasonable price.

From Questfordrums

Does the shell appear to reglued/repaired to anyone else?

It's got that weird dark L-shaped stripe in the interior shot that shows the tone control, but I don't know what it means, if anything.

Maybe ask the seller about it?

That's a good point, Kevins. I think I just might let this one go and wait for something a little nicer to come along. If it were in a little better shape it would be exactly what I was looking for, though.....if only :(

also....10x14's are really not as useful as, say 12x15's or 12x14's....IMHO....but those 16 old lugs are probably worth about $5/apiece....

Thank you for the advice, Jaye! I wouldn't have guessed that the 12x14" would be that much more versatile. That is a good point and something I did not think about.

Are these snares fairly common? I'm curious as to how long I might have to wait for one to show up, haha.

I'm not always on the look-out for them, but I have seen probably fifteen or so over the last eleven months on Ebay. I'm waiting for a strainer to pop up to finish one right now.
