This is a Slingerland Artist solid maple shell snare drum in Mardi Gras pearl, it has a Niles black & brass badge without a serial number and the Zoomatic strainer which I think dates it to around 1962.

That has to be one of the all-time coolest wraps along with the Mardi Gras used on Rogers. Steve Maxwell had a new set of Gretsch in his NY shop when I was there a couple of years ago. Talk about tempting. When they release that wrap back to those of us on the outside, I'm planning to get enough to do some tired 20,12,14 and Powertone that need a new face.
Thank you guys for commenting, it is a beautiful snare with excellent color and a great sounding snare drum. I love the beautiful natural maple interior too!

That natural maple interior is outstanding and comes from Slingerlands best time of production. They chose the best grains of maple from which those beauties were made.Love it,enjoy it and play it!
