I recieved a sample of their satin flame material. Not only was it translucent, but if you barley scrape a fingernail accross it, it scratches. :(

Was that the stuff from the eBay vendor, or from Canal Street?
I checked out the Canal Street web site and saw that they sell both translucent and opaque plastics. They might have sent you one of the translucents. The satin flame that I got from the eBay vendor (which seems to be the Canal Street stuff) does scratch very easily, but it's definitely not translucent.
This is the unbacked stuff from Canal. I requested the backed one. Evidently they dont have the backed one. I think id rather pay a little more and get something better. Sam Ash music has some wrap. They say enough to do a 5 piece kit for $199.00, but Drummaker.com has 24x54 sheets for 75.00. I dont know if they sell 1/2 sheets. if they did it would cost $262.50 at drummaker, soooooooooo.........
I'm about ready to just order me some glitter vinyl and cover these premiers I have. 54" wide by however long I want it to be. Im sure its better than the satin flame and the sparklebrite is. In fact I have all sorts of patterned vinyl at my disposal.

JamminSams has twelve different Satins including Neons - all are at 149 per kit. I've used these exact wraps from them. They are excellent satin flames. Very good quality. Check 'em out.
Hi, the satin flame is not a problem to get.I [[we]] have it in rolls in all colors 12-14 in all...it has the white backing.Can cut it to any size piece..Mikey
