Have any of Y'all ever tried this wrap? I'm thinking about wrapping my premiers out of it.

This is the same stuff that was offered by precision drum and may still be available through jammin sam......I've used the white/silver satin flame (white for slingerland, silver for gretsch....same wrap, just different terms) before. Very easy to work with. Its thinner than most other drum wraps, so it makes it easier to work with...cutting, drilling, etc.
I noticed that Precision only has white satin now. They discontinued all the other colors.

I wrapped a kit (Sonor) in the Satin Flame (orange/red/yellow) wrap I picked up from Jamminsams. It was a pleasure to use. That Sonor kit was handpainted by a friend with drumsticks in the form of a cross. My school wanted the kit. I wrapped it prior to giving it to my school so that it had the school colors. They love the kit. The wrap has held up well to the kiddos bangin' the snot out of it. EASY to handle and apply. Thinner than most other wraps so you don't have to deal with the head issues. If it's the same stuff, I wouldn't hesitate.
Poppy, I replied to your other thread on this, but just in case you don't see it: I bought the blue satin wrap from this seller. I've posted photos of the wrap on my Luddies in your other thread. The stuff is hard to photograph, but the seller's own photo of the blue in his listing is pretty close.
I agree with everything said above: the wrap is thin and very easy to work with, and to my eyes it looks beautiful. The only caveat, and it's a big one, is that this stuff scratches very easily. I'm not sure I'd use it on a kit that will need to stand up to any abuse, but if it's a set you're not going to take out often, then it's a great choice.

Thanks for posting this topic poppy, I've been wondering about this particular wrap for a while now. I like that it comes in 1 big roll, you can get a BD and larger FTs wrapped with only 1 seam. If I can ever track down a 14x14 slingy shell, I think I'm going to try this wrap out. Thanks to those who commented about their experience with it!
Hey Poppy and the fun bunch. This is not the same stuff that JamminSams sells. I honestly don't know what this stuff is. I'm guessing it's that goofy stuff that is so ubiquitous on eBay these days.
Hey guys,
If you would like to get any color you wish cheaper AAAAND be able to wrap you ENTIRE Bass drum in one piece. Here is the supplier that the others mentioned uses.. . . I've used it. . . its the same stuff. You get it by the roll, however much you want down to 1 foot. http://www.canalplasticscenter.com/index2.shtml Joe
Well, I learned another new word,
"Ubiquttous"

/yuˈbɪkwɪtəs/ Show Spelled[yoo-bik-wi-tuhs] S

existing or being everywhere, esp. at the same time; omnipresent: ubiquitous fog; ubiquitous as poppy on the drum forum.

They were Canal Street Plastics before? They had one in New Rochelle N.Y. a while ago.A big purple building. I used to buy all the time when I was doing plastic work many moons ago. They have really expanded there inventory.
I would give it a shot if the price is right.
Cheers,Ed
