Are these Royce you speak of, MIJ?
I have 1 pic of Royce, MIJ.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
I'm quite sure the early 70's Royce snare would have a "tip" style strainer, while newer ones would have the generic lift style. The tip style has an adjustment knob in the middle similar in function to a Zoomatic Slingerland. Also the early Royces have hex-rod mounts, where later they switched to 7/8 pipe.
I believe that Royce was just another stencil kit produced by Pearl. The picture provided by ggd confirms this.

The badge on the drum I'm looking at appears quite different from what I can tell. Its screwed on as well, not stuck on. I cant see it well but the word Royce appears to be written, like a Rogers script logo.
I,ve ordered the drum anyway, so I,ll post a pic when it arrives.

I can make out the word Pro underneath Royce if that helps?
There are a few Royce Versions out there.
1 Royce, Looks like basic MIJ. Pearl Lugs
2 Royce-procussion, MIT, Pearl Lugs
3 Royce-procussion, Taiwan, Better Lugs
4 Royce-procussion, China, Better Lugs
So lots of models with "that" Name.
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
If you google Royce snare drums you will see images of snare drums. Click on here, mine will be the 10 small lugs per side drum, not the double ended lugs.
Mr. Wayne,
Can you upload pics sir?
Thanks to Mr. Jerry Jenkins
