Please post pics when you get em . Congrats !
Congrats Mangus welcome to the Gresch club, you'll have smiles for miles !!
YYYEEESSSSS!!! Result my friend!
Congratulations! Once you have them, I wonder how long you will be able to resist revealing that WMP under the paint...for me it would be precisely zero seconds. :)

It will be like buying a Lotto scratch card! Have I won?????
Looking forward to seeing how the paint comes off. Congrats on the new kit.
Thanks everyone for being so supportive. I told the seller that I planned to remove the paint, and he said that as far as he knew the drums were painted in the first place only because the WMP wrap was very worn. Well, we shall see...
I will post pics when the kit has arrived.
Best to you all,
Magnus
Hello again. Today my round badge kit arrived. I have just unpacked it and set it up in my practice space. Unfortunately, I cannot make too much noise there during weekends, so I haven't been able to play it extensively. But I have tuned it, and tried it out some (without cymbals). It sounds great.
The paint job on the kit is professionally done in some kind of maroon colour. However, the kit looks like it has been played 24/7 for at least 40 years. Judging by how it sounds, I can understand why.
According to the seller, the paint job was done by a previous owner, because the WMP wrap was very worn. I can easily imagine that to be the reason why it was painted, since the paint is equally worn.
The chrome is kind of dirty and could do with a clean. It too, however, shows sign of wear. I'm completely cool with that.
Here are some pics I took today.
On the inside of the bass drum, I discovered what I believe may be a crack in the shell or at least one of the plies. It doesn't worry me too much. The seller hadn't even noticed it, and I guess/hope that if it's been like that for some time, it will not get worse.

Here is a pic of the BD paper tag. Any help with dating these drums would be much appreciated.

The BD mount is a Catalina. This is what the mount looks like from the inside of the shell. I have no idea what the putty repair is covering up.

The BD lugs look like this. They are all quite worn.

I have no idea if any of the BD spurs are original. This is what they look like. They fit fine and seem to do what they should.

The TT has a lot of snare rash. As I said, this kit has been played a LOT.
