Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Jeff!
They ABSOLUTELY deserve to be displayed in the gallery!!, and so glad you did! Simply an incredible restoration, and with REAL WOOD veneers to boot. Rogers only WISHES their OEM KOA looked like yours do. Fabulous work/set Jeff!
Tommyp
Jeff, top notch all the way !
Jeff,
There have been plenty of people that have added smaller drums, timbales, Rototoms, etc over their floor toms. Check out Roger Taylor with Queen for instance. I agree with you on hi-hat placement. When I was a kid my 6-8-10 were over the hat, the 12 transitioned between those and the 13-14 on the bass drum. I cannot imagine playing that way now.
I second what Tommy said, those drums are better now than what Rogers produced from the factory. A piece of plastic that looks like wood is not the same as the real deal. Outstanding indeed! And as to the Spinal Tap reference, you might need to "put the ol' tagger on it."
...so I have a bunch of drums I should send you...

Still in awe. Those drums speak. I would love to sit behind a kit like that.
Tommy, I felt honored that you requested a photo of the drums, thank you!
Scott, I used to have a Rocker kit with roto toms over the floor tom, guess that’s why I like this configuration. I wonder what my drums actually did cost when they were new; I sure have a small fortune invested in these.
Glenn, thank you for following me thru the entire project!
Vintagemore2000, thank you for that nice compliment.
Mcjnic, all we need is a kit to wrap and you could be behind your own!
Thank you to all, hope I didn’t forget anyone!

Jeff!
An absolutely SUPERB restoration! The grain pattern is incredibly beautiful. Glad you shared them!

C'est Magnifique!! Bravo!!
That veneer (and stain?) and gloss are like nothing I've ever seen, let alone seen on a vintage kit! Looks like a $1M drum kit! I can only imagine what they look like in person and speculate what they might look like under stage lighting. Brilliant!!
Take a bow, sir. Or, should we bow.....
