Rogers Ultra Power 5 piece Last viewed: 7 hours ago

I'm looking at a 1972 Rogers Ultra Power 5 piece set with orginal cymbalstands and 2 Zildjian cymbals from 72. Seems like in good condition. The seller offer it for about $1000 but are open to discuss it. Is this a fair value?

I personally wouldn't pay anymore than $800 for a set in this economy. But it comes with a dyna so it might be worth it.

A guy here in Seattle posted a set of shells on CL with Superten for couple of months, getting the price down to $750. Don't know if they sold or he gave up. Not the most popular wrap, so check out Ebay and see if you can find a price to talk him down. If Dyna has all the correct parts, it should be in the $300+ range at least. The cymbals add to the setup. Any idea what models or vintage? Original to the set would bring another $300 maybe.

Not entirely out of range, but make him an offer of $800 cash and see what he says. If you flash cash in hand when you see him it tends to help in this economy.

This is exactly what you should do. If it doesn't work out there are more deals out there. In the last month I have come across 7 vintage Ludwig Sets. You just have to look and think of new ways to find them.

Butcherblock Swivomatic era is a bit rare, and with a Dynasonic.......I'd say its still worth that even in this economy.
