Lots of folks around here frown on the aluminum foil method.... it will leave scratches.Some say it doesn't.....On nice chrome I prefer Cape Cod polishing cloths, but to each his own.
I have to say, these lugs are pretty well pitted so if you have nice hardware it might be too abrasive. I can't see any scratches though -
Got my Blue Strata kit today and spent the last three hours on it - amazing how the chrome comes back to life. Only problem I'm having is matching hex rods to swivo fittings - they are all marked Rogers, not Swivomatic (the English stuff) but some hex bars are so loose, on angled swivos the wing nut hits the dome of the bolt! are there more than one size?
