Rogers kit - good price? Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Loading...

This isn't a super find, but more of a "what's the current market like?" question.

I'm being offered a Rogers Holiday 20/12/16 silver sparkle, with 14x5 COB snare for $1000. All original, missing cymbal arm (of course...). No holes, super clean wrap faded to a ginger color. Otherwise quite lovely.

What do you think?

IMO,its a great kit.I love Rogers gear and if the snare is a PT or super 10 in good nick,it would be an ok deal, not a great. These days i,d pay 6-700 for that but only if the condition was excellent and i needed a kit.....which i dont.

Hit like you mean it!!

Thanks for the feedback. I have no delusions it's a great deal, but I "follow" Ludwig pricing more closely and couldn't tell about Rogers.

Additional pieces of info - they're all Dayton tags and the snare is a Powertone.

I'll ask the guy if he can go a little lower.

If it's immaculate, maybe. if its snare was wood, more likely woth it.

But if it's just a nice old player in good but not spotless condition...maybe $700-800 tops.

I always try to jump out on ebay and look at completed auctions... that indicates what stuff actually sold for not what people are asking.

I look for some thing close to complete and then I price the pieces seperately.

I'm kind of in there with the rest of forum.. I think a $1000 sounds just a touch high but that's going to be real close.

Find the price on that cymbal arm and a Rogers hi-hat stand and see if you can use those numbers to bargin a little... just a thought.

You certainly won't be disappointed in the gear.

Not a Guru... just interested..

like the others said, the price is a bit high in this market. I'd offer 650.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Ebay prices are $1300+ for a clean kit though, even without the 14" ft.

Even if this is the going market rate, I might sit this one out.
