Well, I will say that it cleaned up very nicely. The lugs are as close to mint as you're going to find of that age and all I did was wipe them down with a damp cloth. The bearing edges are perfect, as is the wrap. But I'm still very surprised with the auction.

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

Hear, hear...and I've had the good and bad luck of experiencing all four possiblities - good and bad for buyer and good and bad for seller.
