I have a chance to pick up a 12"(Tom),13"(Tom)D16829,16"(Floor-Tom),18"(Floor-Tom),22"(Bass Drum) 80's or 70's orange peel big r rogers set. I don't have any pictures but the seller says it's in pretty good condition. Is this a rare finish? When was it made? How much is it worth???

What is this one worth?

Rogers never produced "orange peel"

Late 70s, early 80s, possibly some 5 ply drums in 1976-79.... and later Xp8 drums.........79-84. The color was Metallic Gold #090.

Value is unknown. They are rogers. In the Big R era...... rare doesnt seem to matter much.

Ask about "USA" on the badge. Deal breaker if not IMO.

I can describe it.

Here is what the snare stand looks like.

The badges on the drums have serial numbers. Also the tom mounts are different the tom mount slides into the drums.

From drumbum3131

It the ONLY thing with Big R badge Rogers. They took the name overseas for a while and put out trash shell sets without the USA on the badge.
