I have a Rogers swivo with a double Tom mount. Is there a more current Tom mount that would be able to work in its place? Something compatible for the swivo mounted toms to fit into the Tom arms....maybe something from Gibraltar?
Rogers double tom mounts--- anything modern to replace Last viewed: 4 hours ago
The only thing close to the hex Rogers arm is the Yamaha mount:

I have had some success mounting Swivo toms on the Yamaha mount; however, some Rogers collets slip right onto the Yamaha hex arm and some are very tight. It might depend on the which period the collet is from (Cleveland, Dayton, Fullerton). You would have to use the Yamaha double floor stand, as there's no way to fit the Yamaha post into a Rogers' bass drum tom receiver.

I'm quite sure with a little finagling the down-rod on the Yammie mount could be sleeved and fitted to a Rogers diameter pipe. I did this to mount a Tama 1" tom mount rod to the upper rod of an Atlas cymbal stand which had a broken-off cymbal tilter.
Would a Ludwig double mount with a 1" post work?

I don't see how that Ludwig could work.
Isn't the down tube for a Rogers double tom holder 5/8ths of an inch? It's certainly less than an inch. The Yamaha uses a 7/8ths inch down tube.
Maybe one of those Pearl triangle shaped triple clamps with a 5/8ths tube in one clamp and two Yamaha arms in the other two.
I think K.O. is right on the money.I have a Rogers swivo double tom floor stand and the top sections on these floor stands also fit into a double tom bass drum mount. It is indeed 5/8ths of an inch. and flat on one side too.

Aren't the more recent Yamaha double Tom mounts smaller? I need to investigate.
why not use a Rogers mount??????? it is way better than all these others....
If you can configure the Rogers mount it`s the best alternative i would think.Nothing today really compares with that 50+ year old technology.Swivo was way ahead of there time and still holds strong today.Other drum companies from that time period just couldn`t compete in the hardware catagory. And even today`s hardware manufactuers have their work cut out for them to be as good.
