Rivet Holes Last viewed: 1 second ago
I have one also. It screws on a smaller diam. cymbal stand then I use. I may widen it to see. I don't remember liking it that much.
Blair, how far in are the Paiste holes? Thanks.
Haven't seen a Paiste rivet cymbal in a while....
I wanna say they are 2" in from the edge?
Look at this pic, the ride has one of those neat little sizzlers on it. That is what I am trying to describe to you.http://vintagedrumforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23414&d=1291499210
I think the one I saw was a little smaller then that. Thanks though!

A. Zildjian normally put 6 rivets in their cymbals.Turkish K's had 8Paiste doesn't believe in rivets too much,but when they do,it is 4.........at 3,6,9,12 o'clock.
I have a 20" K jazz ride from I'm guessing the 80's, maybe early 90's. It has three rivets in a row, maybe an inch apart each. I always thought it came from the factory that way. Sounds great, so smooth.

I was talking about Turkish made K's........not USA
I don't think A.Zil offered 3 rivets in a row from the factory, but not sure.
earth rides were not sold with rivits in them, its been moded :(
Wonderful cymbal, great stick definition and super heavy dry sound.
I wanted one until I found my heavy 18.
in the sixty's i had a sizzler that attached to the cymbal stand on top it had rivets on the end with steel balls if i remember it had arms like windshield wiper arms that threaded to the mount it was cool i think i had a rivet cymbal A from Biascoes for a minute in the 60's middle to late 67 id say what a year for everything that was

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

So I have a 50's large stamp A that has 4 rivet holes. I removed
the rivets last year. I wonder if my cymbal came factory special
ordered with the 4 rivets or if they were added later since you
are saying they usually came with 6.
Reason I took the rivets out in the first place is that those old A's
seem to have a lot of natural sizzle and wave that I wanted to check
out the sound without the rivs...
