I don't have pics of this kit, but I can tell you whats up with it in detail. I am thinking about grabbing it as a road kit. Lemme know how much YOU would pay for it.
Early 70's Holiday Tags (Fullerton)
Rewrapped in Red Diamond Pearl
Bass drum and rack tom have had the collet mounts removed, and holes filled with wood putty (not super pro looking) and the insides have various amounts of paint dripped, glue, stickers etc all over the place. Not clean interiors, but the edges look good and they seem round. The bass drum is a born again virgin (and has some replacement spurs). The rack tom now has a rims mount is installed and is also a born again virgin.
Sizes are 22/13 or 14 rack not sure/16/18 floors
The floor toms have their knobbies, but none of the legs are original.
The 18 inch floor tom is either a Slingerland 5 ply or Ludwig 6 ply. No rings. Clear interior. Has been drilled for Rogers knobbies and the old holes had the same treatment (putty). Rogers badge was put on.
Missing mounting hardware for one of the lugs on one of the floor toms. Other mounting hardware not original. Some is some isnt etc. NO original T's, Rods, Claws. Some unoriginal hoops.
All badges are present
Finish looks great though a little faded.
The collectable value of this kit is virtually zero, but it seems to sound good and it looks nice. I am thinking of picking it up for touring/beating the crap out of so that I can keep my current road Slingy at home. Not sure tho. What do you guys think is fair? They have it marked at $575. Way too high imo. I was thinkin somewhere around $250-300.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
