The shells where all mismatched, aesthetically. They looked like orphans, so I wanted to give them some continuity. It also gave them a little more focus, believe it or not.

You are very welcome!
Nope, not me. I am a really bad drummer. Horrible, can't figure it out. I can build great drums, just can't play them! I just love drums and the sounds they make, hence my ability to build great sounding drums. I know the wood, the resonance and other qualities it takes to make wood drums sing when they are otherwise ignored and/or tossed aside by others as "junk". The truth is, they just don't know what to do, let alone how to do it.
Now, stay after Nick to get a video camera, I want to hear these babies sing out, and the rest of the world is dying to hear that these old MIJ drums do actually sound good when properly restored.

Wow. Just wow. It really speaks for people nowadays to do something like this for someone. No matter if they're family, or complete perfect strangers. Just to donate so much time, effort, and everything else that goes into something like this. It just gives me a renewed sense of faith in humanity. Good job, Jon. Those drums look fantastic, and I bet they sound even better. Im not congratulating you on your work done, but the selflessness put into that kit. The young man who recieves that set I hope will never forget what you have done for him.
