Hi All, What are your feeling on taking bids from a buyer with no feedback who just sign up with ebay??? Scram or not?? Mikey
Question On Ebay Take The Bid Or Not?? Last viewed: 34 minutes ago
Why not give the guy a chance....we all have to start somewhere right?
I have never used EBAY but if you get the cabbage before you have to send the goods then I would take bids from anyone willing to front the dough. What is the difference if he has two million transactions or zero as long as you can control the transaction and see the loot before shipping.
If it is the other way I wouldn't sell anything to anyone on there!!!
Hope this helps in some twisted way
have a wonderful evening

I'm a seller and buyer on eBay, at 100% positive feedback, over 650 ratings. I always put in my auctions a line saying I do not accept bidders with under 10 feedbacks.
My experience has been this: If they write to you to say they are serious, and you feel good about how they state it, then I accept their bid.
But if they don't write back, or act "snotty" in their response to you, they're not going to pay you and they're going to be a pain in the strainer.
Mikey, as long as they use PayPal and you ship Insured with Signature Confirmation, you should be okay.
I had a newbie buy a $80.00 cymbal last week from me. I use signature confirmation on all new buyers, and any suspicious ones too.
Always insure too, never let anyone talk you out of if, even if it's a small amount, you protect yourself and your buyer
