Hello I have a question about restoring stain finished shells. I have recovered drums for years but never messed with any stained finishes. My uncle has an 11 piece set of Slingerland I think Maple mix shell. They have a few scratches on them but nothing to deep. I was wondering if it was just a simple as using FINE grit sandpaper and sanding it down to bare wood and restaining and clear coating or was there a lot more to it?Help2
