Purple Jazzette Last viewed: 3 minutes ago

Sweet looking set! But doesn't the re-wrap make it *less valuable* than an original wrap in good condition?
Discuss please :)
This has been on Ebay for months. Way overpriced for a re-wrap kit. Also, they didn't officially come out with the Jazzette until 1967. The auction states 1964....long before the Jazzette even came out. So its not the real deal even though they are the correct sizes. The bass was either a custom order, or its a marching tom conversion. Also, not really a fan of purple sparkle. A more realistic value would be about $950-$1100
OK, now I read the original post where the guy told the story of how it came to be. He did use use a different something for the bass. He said he converted it for his girls. They played for something like 5 or 6 years, then dropped the stix, never to pick them up again. They were originally a Gold set. I do like the purple, and he did a great job. Now, there were two purple sets on at the same time, and I am almost certain this is the one converted for kids because the 18 was easier for them to reach it all. And it is a great looking, very well done job, but I agree, he's gotta walk away from the ol' pipe.....
