I also saw a close-up photo of Ringo's favorite 18" that cracked. It was along a lathe line that someone tried to repair with drill holes. But as often happens they didn't get the exact end of one part and it just kept going. I suggested that Ringo might want to consider a laser welding repair which Bernie had never heard of.

I also asked if he could send me the photo of that iconic cymbal but he told me that, "it wasn't cleared for release." But it was sure great talking to him.
