Premier are alive and well, having a new Nicko McBrain kit as we speak (introduced at a European Music show). I don't know what the story is in America these days...
There's mention of them having a distribution deal with Universal Percussion, but no mention of Premier on Universal's site. Another company handles the marching percussion, I believe.
