This is an all original 1966 Yamaha Drum Set. The finish is called "Brown Willow" and it looks like the Ludwig Blue Oyster finish except in Brown, Red, Black and Gold. This finish is in excellent condition and was only produced for 2 years, making this drum set extremely rare! The Kick is 20", The Floor Tom is 14", The Rack Tom is 12" and the Snare is 14". The matching snare is wood. I have the original white kick drum head and it is pictured in the photo that has the kit all setup. The kick drum currently has new heads which are an EMad on the back and a Powerstroke on the front. I bought this kit from a session drummer that came out of New Orleans and since then it has only seen use in my personal studio. This kit has given me many different tones when miked up, but it really roars when tuned for rock or jazz. The toms have a growl to them that I haven't heard before out of any drum set and I love them. I'm a recording engineer and I play guitar, so I only get to use this when recording someone else. Money is tight, so I'm letting this amazing drum set go. Feel free to call, text or email me anytime. It is located at my studio in Midtown off Ponce De Leon Ave. Give me a ring and I will answer any questions you have. This kit is easily worth $2,500+ and I'm asking $1,850 or best serious offer. Would 1/3 the asking price be considered a 'reasonable offer'?
Proof positive that the Federal Reserve debt notes are becoming worthless.
$1850.00 is the new $500.00. Get used to it folks!
I'll bet he'd take a half ounce gold coin for those fine lookin drums faster than you could say " House Joint Resolution 192"

The reasonable price on this era, even in a less than overly-produced color, even in excellent nick, should be, in this market, between 750-900, condition taken, toward the higher end, maybe even a tad more to the right buyer, but 2500 is pipe dreams, and mean I the kind the holds whacky weed. Now, this is just MHO, but that is what the market says they are worth, unless they have provenance of prominence....I don't make the market price, I just watch it and make mentally retarded notes.:D
Fixed (as they say on another forum)
Drums, as well as other instruments are like cars, once you drive them off the lot, you loose 50% or more of it's value. Drums do not retain their value just because someone sweats on it a few times.
