I am a guitar player interested in drums. I have an opportunity to buy a 1964 completely original Ludwig kit, with cases, 4 zildians, in excellent condition. What would be a fair price? Thanks.

Ah, the year of Ringo! If they are in that good of condition, and including original cases, cymbals, and hardware, somwhere between $2000-$3000 would be a fair price.
