Anyone know much about these? I'm no expert on wood having only owned lauan pearls in the past. Anyone know what these guys are made out of and roughly what era they come from. I managed to get them cheap and they came with 70's tama hardware and a swingstar snare. I'm guessing that they are early to mid seventies based on the tom holder. electricit

Gigmaker or Driver kit by the looks of it.
Thats right! Hastings had the big earthquake in the 1930's,like Napier.....
Hasting is done up in Art Deco too, right, like Napier?
Thats why I went to Napier from Auckland......I was big into Deco then......
Now more into Victorian/Arts and Crafts! LOL
I think I have those rods........are common size......
I'll check in the next day/two......

Napier pretty much got demolished by the 1931 earthquake I think that's why they rebuilt all the art deco buildings. Hastings has a little bit of deco but nothing like Napier.

They're 3-ply shells, made of Khaya (an African Mahogany) with beech re-rings.
Premier sometimes used one layer of birch instead, inside.
