I just bought a late 50's WFL kit, and the floor tom that came with it is a non-matching mystery drum. The badge was removed, but the lugs look like Pearl. It appears to be 6 ply, and does have an internal muffler. This isn't much to go on, but can any provide any more info on this drum? Thanks!
Mystery Drum - Can You Identify It? Last viewed: 1 hour ago
The lugs look like Rogers (or possibly Rogers knock-off). Really need more pics, especially of the interior. Can you tell if the finish is a re-wrap or original?
I'll get some more pictures up as soon as I can. I think its the original, because there are holes in the wrap where the badge used to be.
Potsy:
To me, that looks like a Pearl Tom from the 1970s. The lugs look like Pearls to me.

Hi potsy, Retrosonic is somewhat right about Pearl But your drum is Not pearl why Pearl would have a badge on it, the floor tom leg mounts are wrong..Your drum is a late 1970s-80s M.I.J. no name floor tom with Pearl type of copy lugs....Mikey
That's japanese style lugs. Pearl type for certain. Very common type. My 80's Pearl kit and Jet floor tom have those lugs. You can see them on the big floor tom here and on this Pearl snare.

My floor tom looks pretty much exactly like yours. Same lugs, leg mounts, and muffler knob. The difference is the interior is a darker wood than yours. Is luan darker, or could it be darker because its a little older? It probably is a 70's/80's MIJ. That's ok, I was just curious. It's really just a place holder until I can find a matching WFL floor tom.
I've painted the inside of my floor tom. Retrosonic and Mikey were correct in identification of your drum.
Here is another picture of the floor tom. In case you're wondering which one it is, its the one with "floor tom" written on it. Thank you, crazy previous owner.
