MIJ set Last viewed: 35 minutes ago

I'm thinking about picking up this set. What do you guys think is it worth $200.00. I have one MIJ set with pinstripe heads and they sound really good. I like the green sparkle, or glitter. The add says there is no name on the drums. let me know what you all think.

Oh yeah, that's all the money. Those are some Pearl line, look like Maxwin or Royce. Poke at him and see if he will drop. I would try him at 140.00, if he balks too hard, shuffle a bit and try 160. Those are good looking drums, but what are the shells made of? And are the edges good? If the edges are in great shape, take them. You don't see Maxwins or Royce with glitter or sparkle, so they might be a different stencil, or rewrapped.

The picture is small, but I'd swear they were re-wrapped. They look too good to be original, but again, the pic is small.

If they look as clean as the pic, have good edges and no other major issues, then $200.00 is a very reasonable price IMHO. If you can get them for less, all the better. I haven't personally seen a lot of green sparkle import kits in my time.

p.s. The lugs, tom mounts, tom arms, etc... look exactly like my Cortley MIJ set - Made by Pearl more than likely.

I agree...the particular tone of that green does not look like it has been around for 30+ years....
