Here's the latest in my search. I have not pulled the trigger as of yet. I'm trying to nail down worth on this one. It's a 20,12, 14snare in blue sparkle from the mid 50's. NICE condition. The owner purchased a 16 in 1960 or 61 in the same wrap. What say you? Worth?

Would the bass drum be part of a matched kit? I think the floor tom would be worth more, someone offered me $500 for just the floor tom for my pink kit.

I totally dig the "stage band" kits..more so than the club dates. I think I am maybe just addicted to Slingerland in general though.
Also kinda glad blue sparkle is so common because I am digging it these days (since I got my hands on this Artist model snare). I feel the bug. Stop it! Stop biting me bug!

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]If ALL the drums were Stage Band style (double-loaded lugs) ...I would be ALL over that kit at $750. It looks like it's in superb condition and has been w/ same owner for 50 years !!!!!
The Q is...is the kit half orphans...?
Given that apparent mismatch (or am I wrong ? the only bona-fide Stage Band outfits I have seen had double-loaded lugs on ALL drums)...mmmmyeah.....$750 is a bit high.

Originally it did not come with a floor. That's how Slingerland sold it. The owner picked up a floor within a couple years and played it like that ever since. The serial numbers bear this out.
