Maybe it's a bad memory, but Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Does anyone remember a drum kit where the tom was a continous drum that wrapped around to (and became) the floor tom? Know what I mean????.. One head, one drum that swept around the kit.

I have a vague memory of a picture of it in a drum magazine in the 70's (ok it was the 70's and I was young so maybe it was a it wasn't real).

I can't even figure out what terms to google/search.

You may want to try emailing Rick Van Horn who used to be with Modern Drummer. see if you can look him up. He would remember something weird like that. It was probably an ad in an 80's MD because I seem to remember something weird like that too. Obviously, whatever it was did not go over very well.

I remember that kit distinctly... George Jetson was one playing on the "Jetson" cartoon... it fit like a big ol' dougnut and he was laying down the solo like it was nobody's business!

Dig that big, phat kit on the right!

I seem to remember seeing something like what you are asking about. And the Molecules are available today. There was also a phunk band in the 70's that had a white gloss kit similar to them, we had a post of the video last year.
