Im picking up a WMP 22,13,5,5 wood snare with some misc hrdwr and cyms which are unknown at this time. Were these one the better offering in the MIJ coral,or are these drums the ones that were considered "firewood"?

Email me some pix Wayne. Do you still have it? Maxitone was, at least later on, a Rearl MIT. Anything in WMP is going to look nice, anyway.

Go to Kijiji in Kingston Ontario Canada...Type in the word drums and scroll down. You will see it there....What does MIT mean??
Those are very nice! Looks like no fade whatsoever on the wrap! All original and I bet that set never came with a floor tom. Good find. Yes, this is a MIJ set, and definitely Star made. You should be very happy with these. Please post some more pics when you get them home and set them up! They look playable as they are.
If you wanted, you could find some kind of floor tom pretty easily and rewrap it to match.
MIT stands for Made In Taiwan (which these are not, thankfully.)
Nice! And I agree, those are playable and clean, except for the crud on the lugs. How is it they let their stuff look like this? Man, it don't take no time to keep the crap off, just a wipe every few months.
