P.S. - the only thing lacking on the green oyster kit is the hoop inlays. Knowing I'll never find green oyster, I'm thinking of using stainless inlays??

Any suggestions on what inlays would go best on this kit?? I'm thinking stainless really goes with anything and is second best to the original.

What say 'ye?

here's a picture of the 9x13 GREEN OYSTER PEARL sitting next to a faded sky blue pearl. Should end this conversation, don't you think? If I knew how to attach the quote about faded sky blue pearls being mistaken for a green oyster pearl I would attach it, but I don't. Oyster pearl is no way close to "pearl" and the "mistake" would have to be rather intentional. It appears that this green oyster pearl is as rare as I was thinking it was..........oh, and also know that this tom is stamp dated March171967, which happens to be St. Patricks day. Somebody will want this kit more than me, for sure!!
