Well.......the shell is VERY pitted and the snare guards are missing and it has the wrong type of snare wires fitted......in the condition its in I'd offer $75. Its in rough shape. The guards and snares can be corrected, but the pitting and peeling chrome issue.....only way to fix that correctly is to strip it, smooth it out and rechrome it (expensive) or replace the shell with a better one, but then its not the original drum anymore now is it?

I'd pass on it for $100......

You would be nuts to pass on that drum for $100. Actually, the pitting doesn't look too bad. I think it's just really dirty. Regardless, that's the 402 version, you could sell it for at least $250 on the bay. In great shape they are going for $500+. PM me if you don't want it.

I'm pretty sure its more than just dirt there.....lots of "ludaloy acne" going on there.....the drum is beat, its missing stuff, he'd be spending $250 in parts to fix it. Not worth the $100 in my book. Hurting

You say a mint one is worth $500 on the market.....what moron in his right mind would spend that on a "vintage" supraphonic/super sensitive when you can buy a NEW one for those prices. They sound and look the same! If you want a mint Bonham snare, don't waste your time on these beat used ones or spen $500 plus on a mint vintage one, when you can have NEW WITH A WARRANTY WITH THE SAME LOOK AND SOUND for those prices.....DOH

For $100 you will, at the very least, buy a great sounding drum. A steal, in my opinion.

$75-$100 would be a great price for that snare.

I picked up a 5x14 '67 SS for $100 CDN that needed some work & parts, got one snare gaurd and one plastic bit for one side of the mechanism for around $20 from an e-bay seller.

Also the 6.5 may be a little more desirable than the 5". Mine had a die-cast batter hoop, replaced w/ a triple flange I had. Will try the die-cast sometime.

Before, pretty beat up.

I would be all over that for $100. I think it looks dirty rather than super pitted too. Either, way, it'll sound wicked.

Seems like a lot of MORONS would buy that drum!
