Ludwig Standard VS Jazz Festival snare Last viewed: 22 minutes ago

Loading...

I just converted my luddy standards to Ludwig Classics. I understand that a Jazzfest is a 3 ply, 8 lug wood snare with classic bowtie lugs and a the P85 Strainer. The standard is a 3 ply wood shell with 8 lugs and p-85 strainer with standard lugs. The bolt pattern is the same on both shells. I noticed the standard snares are fetching a pretty good price on ebay. Ok, with that all said, is my snare a Jazzfest now? It has been totally rewraped. I have no plans on selling it.

I wasnt suggesting to decieve anyone here. I have a real jazzfest in Silver Sparkle and I was comparing the 2. I asked what made a jazzfest a jazzfest on another thread and got a reply "3ply shells, with a p85 strainer and 8 bowtie lugs. Anyway it sure looks good set up in my entry hall. I have aanother standard snare that came with no wrap on it at all. These are just for my collection. I am not a drum profiteer. I learn something every day from this forum.
