Ludwig snare? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

All the ad said was that the guy needed rent money by Monday and that this was an old Ludwig in excellent condition. Selling it for 350, buuuuuuut, he did say he needed the money.

Assuming the drum is in solid condition is this a good deal?

Thanks,

drumhack

It "appears" to be a great deal. However, there are a lot of scammers out there, especially with the economy the way it is. I'm not suggesting in any way that the current owner of the drum is one. What I am suggesting is that you make sure that you're getting exactly what you're paying for. Let us know how it all turns out!

I hope, for your sake, that's the actual drum in the picture! You could be in for a major score. Check it over VERY carefully and if anything seems "odd" you may want to walk away.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you :)

Thanks for all the input. Unfortunately, I was sent to Salt Lake City today for work. The ad was on Pittsburgh's Craig's list, I live there. Anyways, I just now read your responses and looked back at Craig's list for the ad. I could have had my brother go snag it easy. The ad is taken down so I suspect that someone was the real early bird and took that snare down as soon as they saw it. It must have been legit if the ad only ran one day and is gone..........

The reason I was really hesistant was that the picture looked like one out of, I don't know, but who takes pictures of their drums like that with a black back drop? I guess it doesn't matter now anyways.

Oh well. Losing that is just the price of inexperienceDOH LOL

Thanks again,

drumhack

You really shouldn't worry I know how you feel. I missed a 1959 blue sparkle downbeat for $300. I gave it two weeks thinking about getting another set and then finally I told the guy to just sell it to someone else. I regret that day.
