I am trying to get some information on this Ludwig Snare that My cousin gave to me that was found in his basement. I want to find out the year it was made and how much it is worth. I am debating on selling it, is it worth to sell or keep.

I hope you guys can help me out.

The serial number is 326407

I believe it is hammered bronze

here are some photos:

Check the vintage drum guide. I believe that snare was produced in the 80's and was in the hammered bronze series. It's basically a hammered supraphonic.

How much do you think I should sell it for if I would sell it?

If you sold it to me, $50 would be about right.Excited

No matter what you sold it for, you wouldnt be buying anything likely to be as good or better for the same money. Keep it.

What would you want to be playing instead of THAT?

You originally said should I sell it or keep it.....now its I wanna sell it to a friend how much should I charge him.....sounds like someone who wants to know how much to ask for it on Ebay to me. I say keep it and lend it out to your friend on permanent loan if you are not a drummer, with the agreement that when the friend stops using it that you get it back. Maybe your cousin would like it back someday......after all it was GIVEN to you.....maybe the cousin wouldn't like it if you sold it.

BTW....I'll give you $75 for it since its worth nothing.....

In excellent condition this drum would be worth about $300. In the condition this one is in, I would give you $175.
